First quilt

I started quilting in March of 2016. The first quilt I pieced was from a block of the month class from Craftsy.com. It was a great first quilt, because the teacher, Amy Gibson, taught a new technique each month. The class was free. It was named Craftsy Block of the Month 2012. I used some fabrics I had purchased as a fat quarter bundle, and some yardage of a white tone on tone from a Basically Patrick line. As the class was from 2012, I could go right to the next class when I finished the 2 blocks she taught each month. When I had completed all 20 blocks, I arranged them and sewed them together. It took me several months to quilt them. I purchased a free motion quilting class taught by Leah Day featuring the BOM 2012. Once the quilt was quilted I used a pretty

fabric for binding. I gave the quilt to David Wightman Jr for Christmas 2016.
